VVS
VVS is the official umbrella organisation representing the interests of all students at Flemish colleges and universities.
Objectives
- Strive for high-quality and accessible higher education for every (future) student.
- Guarantee equal educational opportunities, regardless of financial or socio-cultural background.Strengthen student participation at all levels of policy making.
- Promote democratically organised educational institutions.
Operations
- Represents students at the Flemish, federal and European levels.
- Takes part in advisory bodies, commissions and working groups on education policy.
- Supports local student councils through training, information and advice, and acts as a bridge between students and policymakers.
