Faculty Council
The Faculty Council is the decision-making and advisory body of a faculty. It has a broad composition and determines the general policy regarding education, research and human resources.
Functions and responsibilities
Policy advice
Advises on and decides about study programmes, research policy and quality assurance.
Approval and oversight
Approves curricula, examinations and budgets upon proposal of the Faculty Board.
Broad representation
Involves academic and administrative staff as well as students in decision-making.
Composition
Dean
Chairs the meeting and represents the faculty.
Academic staff
Professors, lecturers and researchers.
Administrative staff
Representatives of support staff.
Student representatives
Safeguard student interests within the faculty.
