Executive Committee
KU Leuven is organised into three groups:

Functions and responsibilities
Governance and coordination
Lead and coordinate faculties and departments within their group.
Education policy
Develop and evaluate programmes, stimulate educational innovation and collaboration.
Research policy
Coordinate research strategies, encourage collaboration and support funding.
Strategic planning
Set priorities for education, research and infrastructure, and manage resources and staff.
Quality assurance
Evaluate performance and compliance with quality standards within the faculties.
Faculty cooperation
Promote collaboration within and between the groups.
Representation
Deans and group chairs take part in the Academic Council and influence university policy.
Budget management
Manage and allocate financial resources within their group to support education and research.
Composition
Chair
Vice-rector of the group, who represents the group within the university.
Deans
Represent their faculty within the respective groups.
Academic staff
Professors and lecturers involved in education and research within the group.
Administrative and technical staff
Student representatives
Stura group representatives safeguard the interests of their group.
