KU Leuven Association

The KU Leuven Association is a partnership of six higher education institutions across Flanders and Brussels: KU Leuven, LUCA School of Arts, Odisee, Thomas More, UC Leuven-Limburg and VIVES.

Objectives


  • Build a future-oriented and high-quality educational portfolio that better prepares students for a rapidly changing world.
  • Strengthen education, research and societal impact through close cooperation between the institutions.
  • Create flexible programmes and learning pathways that facilitate mobility and smooth transitions between institutions.
  • Develop an inclusive and broad learning environment, with attention to accessibility, student support and social engagement.

Operations


Shared vision and aligned programmes

Institutions share an educational charter and jointly develop programmes with coordinated structures (e.g. fanning and zipping pathways).

Learning and mobility

Students benefit from exchange opportunities, international mobility initiatives and community forums within the Association.

Project-based collaboration

Institutions work together on themes such as educational innovation, (health)care, lifelong learning and diversity.

Research and innovation

The Association strengthens joint research projects and knowledge sharing between the university and university colleges.
